Esther Denaro Maltese earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and Policy Studies at SUNY Buffalo. Upon invitation, she completed post-graduate work at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the Women's Institute in Higher Education Administration at Wellesley College, the Administrative Management Institute at Cornell University and the International School of Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem, Israel.

Dr. Maltese has an impressive record of research, scholarship and professional recognition for her work on the Holocaust. She is artist and curator of Voices in the Shadows: Women Survivors and the Holocaust, A Photographic Memoir and Voices in the Desert: On the Wings of Dawn, A Spiritual Journey Through the Holy Land. She has accepted invitations to present her research at International Conferences at Yad Vashem, Israel, Milan and Oxford University, UK.

Maltese has assumed the presidency of numerous boards, and has received awards for her professional accomplishments and global service.
